(USTO) is the successor of all rights in and to the 66 Hopalong Cassidy feature motion pictures and 52 television episodes including related Copyrights, Trademarks, and Right of Publicity. U.S. Television Office, Inc. purchased such rights from the William Boyd's Widow, Grace Bradley Boyd, the William Boyd and Grace Bradley Boyd Trust, William Boyd Estate, William Boyd Enterprises and the Clarence E. Mulford Estate and the Clarence E. Mulford Trust.
Clarence E. Mulford created the Hopalong Cassidy character in his 26 novels, all of which rights U.S. Television Office, Inc. has purchased and recorded in the copyright office of theLibrary of Congress.
U.S. Television Office, Inc., is the copyright proprietor of the Hopalong Cassidy motion pictures, along with United States and International and Pan-American copyrights in all the films, motion picture negatives (including sound tracks), pre-print materials, positives, radio shows, the right to use the name and likeness of William Boyd in the character of Hopalong Cassidy, including the Right of Publicity and Privacy in and to the likeness and persona of William Boyd in the character of Hopalong Cassidy, and the right to use the name and likeness of the horse Topper, the exclusive right to exploit or otherwise use for merchandising or animation purposes, the name and likeness of William Boyd in the character of Hopalong Cassidy and the name and likeness of the horse Topper. Additionally, U.S. Television Office, Inc., has exclusively acquired all music copyrights, music publishing rights, trademarks, rights to register trademarks and service marks, and the right to register service marks relating to Hopalong Cassidy, and has also won a Court of Appeals Judgement affirming its ownership and rights of the the Hopalong Cassidy image recorded in the Copyright Office of the Library of Congress.
